Alza Acting grows out of Alza Acting Studio, founded by award-winning actor, director, writer and producer Walter Alza. His professional screen career began in 1991 and includes more than 120 film and television appearances.
This is not acting theory floating in space. The work is designed to translate to auditions, self-tapes, rehearsal rooms and professional sets.

Can acting for film and television really be trained online?
Yes, when the training is live, interactive and built around specific screen work. Online training is especially useful for scene study, script analysis, character work, audition preparation and self-tape technique.
Do I need acting experience?
No. Foundation-level training is designed for actors with little or no formal training. Actors with previous training can contact the studio for appropriate placement.
Is this only for actors in Toronto?
No. Online training is designed for actors across Canada and internationally. In-person training remains available through Alza Acting Studio in Toronto.
